Building Toronto's 'Hospital of the Future'

Humber River Regional Hospital is paving the way to build a new state-of the art modern technologically advanced medical facility in the very near future. Construction on our new site will begin in 2010. On a provincial and national scale, Humber River Regional Hospital will play a vital role in providing solutions to Ontario's healthcare challenges. Most importantly, our signature level of care will be the centre of everything we do.

Our vision is to be Ontario's most technologically sophisticated hospital. Features include fullly digital health records, robotics used for both surgery and the delivery of hot meals, and barcode technology that will help to eliminate medication errors. By innovating in such areas Humber will quite literally liberate our caregivers returning our caregivers to our patient's bedside. Instead of filling out paperwork, delivering supplies, and walking long corridors, Humber's caregivers will be at a patient's bedside providing greater care and comfort.

The time has come for Humber River Regional Hospital to embark on an unprecedented community fundraising campaign. Every health-care worker, staff, physician, volunteer, patient and donor will be engaged as we start our most ambitious fundraising campaign in years. We are quite passionate about this.
